Securities Market Association
Securities Market Association is a cooperation organ established in December 2006 by the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK , NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd (the Exchange) and the Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland.
The goal of the Association is to ensure that by strengthening self-regulation enterprises operating on the securities market observe uniform operation principles and rules. The Association will participate in the drafting of self-regulation standards and, when necessary, interpret them.
The mission of the Association is among others to administer the Finnish Corporate Governance Code, the Guidelines for Insiders and Helsinki Takeover Code, and to improve self-regulation. Review of the compliance with the Corporate Governance Code is published on 16 October 2009. Corporate Governance Statement Guideline has been published on 2 November 2009. Remuneration Statement Guideline has been published on 23 October 2009. |
